With a passion for youth development, Dr. Gordon creates educational curricula to support literacy for K thru 12 students. Additionally, Dr. Gordon’s S.T.O.R.Y. ACCELERATOR is used to enhance and educate in adult learning programs to enhance life skills training.

Through her work with A Place Called Home Youth Center, Dr. Gordon collaborated with Berklee College of Music, LAUSD and private funders to encourage an “at-promise” population of youth living in “at-risk” environments, to consider and achieve higher education goals.  Hundreds of youth attended college with secured scholarship funding of over $250,000 annually.  The program still flourishes today and her work continues as an Advisory Board member for Berklee College of Music and continued literacy project work through LAUSD and Compton school districts.

Dr. Gordon’s Adult Learning platform can be found through her coaching with management of California Community Colleges and expands through the Santa Barbara Coast with Pacifica Graduate Institute where she teaches life skills to match educational endeavors with career aspirations.
